Filmed In Flatbush: "Fringe"

It's no secret that the people behind J.J. Abrams' sci-fi show "Fringe" love Ditmas Park. We've seen them filming on E. 16th St. and Albemarle Road. Last night they showcased another beautiful Victorian Flatbush street for a scene that was supposed to take place in the small suburban Massachusetts town of Marlborough (coincidence? I think not). In the show, the street was home to FBI agent Mitchell Loeb, so the home used in the shoot saw a lot of action, including a gun fight (with bullets!), an FBI agent being thown against blinds (Venetian!), and scariest of all, Olivia's shoes on the owners' couch (GROSS!). Hope the producers paid for a good steam cleaning.

Anyone know what street this was actually filmed on? Don't make me bike up and down the neighborhood this weekend to find out because you know I will.

Also cool: Brooklyn College doubling as Harvard. Ha!

That bright blue house next to the bricked porch is distinctive, but I don't think I've ever seen it. I'm guessing it's probably Ditmas Park West, one of the SWARM blocks, between Cortelyou and Newkirk. Looks like it was filmed in the fall, and, from the angle of the sunlight, morning. We're looking North, with these houses on the West side of the street.

Happy hunting!
