I think you're making too much of the distance from Cortelyou. It's not a "long" block at all. You can be at the Food Co-Op in five minutes, the Farm in only a few more. Considering how close it is to the subway, think of all the time you'd save otherwise.

Can't say much for the construction quality or views since I haven't seen it, but I've walked by there a million times and it seems like a good location as far as a regular commuter would be concerned.

I remember the big white house that sat on this lot prior to this monstrousity being built. Kind of squished their neighbors just like the building on Cortelyou & Stratford did to the yellow house next to it.

I can't say much for the construction or decor in the Vista but if I were so inclined to pay 500K for an apartment - which I am not - this location seems very convenient. Close to Flatbush (6 blocks)and Church (3 blocks)Avenues but even closer to the ammenities on Cortelyou. The Food Co-op, laundry, dry cleaners, Tibetan, Solo Bar, San Remo's, soon Purple Yam etc.. all 2-3 blocks away and Vox Pop, The Farm, etc... 5 blocks away.

And wouldn't the roof top views be looking out on Beverley Square East back yards?
